...but we watched Sergeant Frog last year. =( Plus I thought we were trying to go for serious animes this week, and SF's about as far from serious as you can get. =p
Though if we were going for weird anime, i'd be tempted to bring Kyo Kara Maoh! again. That's pretty odd, and generally people seem to tend to like it.

No I voted for Loveless because it and Abenobashi were the only things I hadn't seen.
My problem with Eva is I just finished watching it for the second time yesterday. It is a very good series though
Funny RK should be mentioned, I just bought the OVA from Cex today. From the rest of the top 20 I can also bring the first Rahxephon DVD today (I have about half those series fansubbed however I have nothing to burn them to)

I left early tonight (at the start of Chobits) to get home and have something to eat. I agree with the point about having a more serious series (I like deeper plotlines), but I'm not so sure about how well it would go down as a group viewing. I've seen Chobits, and I thought it gets especially good in the second half of the series. It's well done in that it retains the comedy while bringing in the larger issues. Evangelion is fantastic, but very heavy. If we ever did end up watching that as a series, I would be very interested to hear the thoughts on it after the final movie. It's completely mind-blowing. On that note, about movies, providing we had a large majority vote, I don't see why it would be a problem to show one on Thursdays. I guess it depends on how people are holding up. Stuff like Tokyo Godfathers, Perfect Blue and any Ghibli stuff would be great to show. The other suggestion my friend made was that we show 2 episodes of Full Metal Alchemist a week, as the series is a long one and I for one hate not finishing series... I think it's the most popular series showing right now, so maybe we can have a vote on it? Otherwise it's good stuff ^^. Keep up the good work.

Well, even if we did show two eps of FMA a week, I still don't think we'd finish it. =p But I do love the series, so I wouldn't mind that. Guess it just depends on how most people feel about it.
And more for my own benefit, for when I go to update the site next, but... animes shown were: FMA ep 2, FB ep 2, AzuManga ep 2, Bleach ep 1, Chobits ep 1, Trigun ep 1.

OK< I'm now going to have to suggest Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex (henceforth referred to as GitsSac). It's a good serious series, and it's possible to skip the episodes relating to the arc plot and just watch the single ones.

Great night ;D Might bring in Bleach again next week for one of the open slots because it seemed to go down pretty well.
Are we having an anime showing next week? Because I know quite a few people are going home for reading week. I, for one, shall be in Dublin ;D If so, is there anyway someone will be kind enough to copy me episode 3 of full metal alchemist and Azumanga daioh?
Oooh, social at Japanic...if enough people want me to, I might bring my PS2 with all the Singstar games, and a few extra games...if people fancy Beer and Video gaming! Plus IMO the selection on singstar is a lot better, and you can do duets ;D But it would have to be week after next...so let me know.

The Japanese songs weren't working last night so we were denied singing Sensation Yoshi's usual repetoire, but his rendition of Hotel California was certainly more impressive than my butchering of "Anyway you want it" by Journey. RE: Anime viewings, I'd be up for sporadic movies, I can bring a few things to throw in the pot next week as well just to cause yet more debate among a group of people with the combined cognitive decision making power of the average moth ^^. I'm personally not too concerned about whether we watch a serious series or not, I'm easy on the matter, if it's generally ok with everyone I'd really like it if we watched the 3 regular series first up as we have been doing so recently as I have them all anyway so missing them doesn't bother me at all. I've enjoyed both meets a great deal so far. Christie: I can do you a copy of Azumanga for the following week Anyway, that's adequate company time wasted now. Away!

Thanks to realfolk dude I've got some Eureka 7 episodes in my possesion. I thoroughly recommend this for viewing. Production values are really high so I think this would be great to show people next week. Should I just bring it along then?
