If anyone fancies it Si (Sec), Me and Glenn are all going to wander along to the Hyde Park Picture House tomorrow night to watch Akira. We're meeting at 10.20pm at the Parkie Steps so that anyone who doesn't know how to get there (that would be me ) can hopefully muddle their way along with us. Do let me know if you are planning on coming as we probably don't want to spend too long waiting (as we will probably get horribly lost trying to find it).

Cool.
The authentication process was a little blip which should be fixed now. I'll delete Deadweight (the pending one) then you can re-register.

Indeed, I have experienced the Fun and Joy of living at Oxley. Don't forget that taxis are generally available, although they are a little pricey, and you probably want to book in advance

I was a little drunk at the social... were you there? And I live in C block edit: not 1:30 but 11 (my keyboard bloody sucks)

How good was Akira on the big screen? The Dolby surround sound definately made it an all-new experience for me. I loved it how when there were the silent bits in the film the whole movie theatre was silent! Only downside was that as I have never seen the cut version I was slightly disappointed because the scenes jarred at times, and a lot of the long winded explanations (which I actually like!) were cut out. Sorry I didn't sit with you guys, I was with my boyfriend (lost Prophets tee) and a friend from my Japanese class who was an anime virgin (!) and it would have been harsh on them. It was quite funny actually, because I don't think I managed to sway Mike (my Japanese class friend) to the world of anime, as we got out of the cinema and he went "WTF??? I don't get it...at all!! It was crap!" Guess you win some, and you lose some, huh?

you didn't miss too much it was about the second or third dub ive heard of it, and it was probably the most poorly timed. I wish they would show a sub version at some point.
