A brief bit of information about the film - this is a remake of the 1980's film, which was originally loosly based around Kikuchi Hideyuki's books. The film is directed by Yoshiaki Kawajiri (who directed Ninja Scroll, Cyber City.. etc.), and includes artist work by fantasy artist Yoshitaka Amano. Basically 10,000 years into the future, vampires rule the night however there are few left. Bounty-hunters are killing them, one such hunter is the half-human, half-vampire (Dunpeal) Vampire Hunter D... But I won't continue because you just need to see it!!!
.. But I will tell you, the plot is fast, intense, dark and exciting, with a perfect mix of sci-fi, horror and romance.. The animation is just so beautiful...

Because to be quite frank, this is one of the very few things that I prefer dubbed.. They just have such fantastic voices and it suits the characters so well!

indeed, some peeps can get quite snobby when it comes to dubbing, but i saw the dubbed version, i agree with the effort put into the characters voices and it is mostly top quality.
definitely an example to use when the credibility of dubbing comes into question! And top film more rounded in so many ways than the 1st, loved the style, fluid animation and the atmospheric music
