OMG, has anyone seen this? I thought it was amazing. The art work is very much like Tokyo Godfathers which was a nice change, and the story line is sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo unbelievably sad. I thought i was gonna cry at the end It was refreshing to have a serious story line that is relevant to todays society, and it gives a much needed retrospect on WW2. A fab anime. Glenski

I think somebody should bring it to anime soc to watch. I have it, but the subtitling leaves much to be desired, having been written down from the english dub, and so there is text when no-ones mouth is moving, which is slightly off-putting.

A phenomenon known as "Dubtitling". American DVDs often have 2 english subtitle tracks, one for each audio format, but we don't get that in the UK, presumably because each track would have to be passed through the BBFC, which is expensive.

Hey Glenski!
Indeed i've known GOTFF to reduce scar ridden warriors into jibbering emotional wrecks, crying in the arms of thier girlfriends and wanting to go straight to sleep. Powerful, moving and sad, it be.
