Hola a todos/as!
Just wondering who had Kenshin, because on the first day somebody said that they had it. I really like the Manga, but I haven't seen much of the Anime, apart from a few random episodes and the not so good film.
Has anybody else seen it? What do you think?

Ahh, I love Kenshin! ;D Especially the TV series. The OVAs are nice and all (very pretty/good animation) but they're really serious and quite depressing. Whereas the TV series has comedy too ^^ I've only seen up to about... episode 40, I think? But the fansubs I have I think were made def before there were DVDs of it, so they're really bad quality. I plan on buying the first boxset over christmas, though, so i'll have to bring it to a meeting next semester... The anime series is really good though ^^

Thanks Ryou!!
Yes, I've seen the OVAs (ups, forgot to mention that!) very good, they are actually two volumes of the Manga. Hope you can fetch some Kenshin if you do get it, like I said, I would love to watch the Anime.
Have you noticed that we both have quite similar names?

Totally agree Jamie!!
"Kenshing is the strongest link, however, what will the others vote? It's time to vote off the weakest Anime!!

Hi there!
Jess, could you lend me your Kenshin? (only if the Anime soc decides not to make it a permanent Anime). It's just that I really like it and I would like to know how it ends.

Well, you're welcome to borrow it - but you won't find out how it ends from the boxset I have! The first boxset is only eps 1-27, and there's well over 90 episodes in the whole series. I probably won't be at the meeting this thursday, but I can always bring it the week after ^^

The real ending's on an OAV anyway, not the series.

Yeeeeah, kinda. But that 'ending' was never part of the manga, right? It was just kind of an added extra... and as far as I can recall, Watsuki didn't actually like that ending. Which is understandable, as it was a bit too depressing for me too Pretty though.

right lets get the OAVs shown! im gonna keep bringing em!
much more serious yes, but better for it, you really get to see his background, motivations, and character alot more. The OAVs have superior animation, an really dramatic and emotive score, and really twisting storyline.

Totally agree with you Jef! However, for those of us that have the manga it is quite a spoiler, because the OVAs are in fact two mangas and when I first saw it ruined the rest of the manga for me However, the animation is by far superior!

I don't see how it ruins anything really. I saw the OAV's before I saw the tv series and then read the manga. I think it's great whatever order you do this in.
